Oslo: Norwegians want Bitcoin Cash

The Oslo Bitcoin Meetup, an annual gathering of cryptocurrency fans,

has announced its name change. From now on, the event should be named "Oslo Bitcoin Cash Meetup" to show support for the currency that emerged after the Bitcoin-Fork. The fourth meeting of the Norwegian group will take place on 24th November. The name has changed, but the plans for the event have not changed.

Free beer and coins

When Blockchain-Fork took place on August 1, Bitcoin holders were able to exchange their coins for the new cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash. The participants of the Oslo Bitcoin Cash Meetup can look forward to free beer, which is paid for by this new currency. The organizer of the event, Stein Ludvigsen, has created a special BCH wallet, which serves as a "global fundraiser" for the beer of the event. The crypto-enthusiast himself contributed 0.3 BCH of his own assets. In the meantime, the number of BCHs in the Wallet has almost doubled. In the country where a beer costs almost 8 euros, Bitcoiner can put behind this purpose with a clear conscience.

It is hoped that even critics of the new cryptocurrency can leave their doubts behind for an evening. In a statement it was said that everyone is welcome:

"Little Blockers, Lightning Fanbois, Journalists, Altcoin Lovers, ICO Operators, Cryptocurrency Interested, Dealers, Film Producers, Lawyers, Crazy Inventors, Police and Bad Boys, Engineering Companies, Investors, Politicians and even Banksters."

A cheers on ...

Cryptocurrency meetings take place around the world. The number has increased with increasing popularity. They provide a great way to promote dialogue about cryptocurrencies, inform and meet like-minded people.

Bitcoin Cash is increasingly accepted, offering low transaction costs and fast transaction execution. The BCH donations on Reddit's Tippr rose for the same reasons. In addition, more and more companies are choosing to accept the cryptocurrency. For example, SimpleFX offers Bitcoin Cash and the P2P marketplace Openbazaar accepts payments in the currency.
